BIBF is a member-led organisation, representing banks, qualified bankers and those working towards their professional qualifications. Its members are made of both individuals and corporate. Its corporate membership comprises of Bank of Botswana, all commercial and statutory banks operating in the local economy. The institute individual membership consists of mainly associate, ordinary and affiliate members.
BIBF help bankers and banks alike to embed a culture of ethical and professional standards to meet the requirements and expectations of its various stakeholders.
The institute supports its individuals’ members to achieve banking qualifications and professional membership thereby ensuring that bankers at each stage of their career, develop and sustain the skills and knowledge required of a modern-day, insightful banker.
